About the My City My Run
My City My Run – Amreli is envisioned as a flagship community engagement initiative aimed at fostering a culture of health, fitness, and collective wellbeing across the district. Scheduled to commemorate the World Health Day, the event reinforces the importance of preventive health and active lifestyles while aligning with the national vision of the Fit India Movement, which encourages citizens to integrate fitness into their daily lives.
More than just a running event, My City My Run – Amreli is designed as a people-centric movement that motivates citizens of all ages to be active, prioritize preventive health, and come together in the spirit of shared responsibility for a healthier society. The campaign seeks to build long-term awareness around physical activity, nutrition, and overall wellness, while strengthening community participation through inclusive platforms such as the 5K: Great Amreli Run and 10K: Amreli Mega Run.
By bringing together youth, families, schools, government departments, private institutions, and local organisations, the initiative aspires to transform fitness into a community movement, inspiring a Fit Amreli that contributes to a Fit India.
The event is led by the District Administration (Amreli) and Sports Authority of Gujarat (Amreli) in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Development, Research and Reforms (ISDRR), New Delhi, and Envision Energy India, under the aegis of Project Jeevan Setu. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to promoting healthier communities, strengthening preventive health awareness, and advancing sustainable development at the grassroots level.
